Storage service

KIT storage offers hosting in a multitenant database cluster. The database cluster supports MySql/MariaDB.

The database service is build on a Galera cluster.

The service has the following key features

• 3 active database nodes running on a High available filesystem.
• MariaDB is automatically patched and updated. Current version is Mariadb version 10.6.
• Backup of data
• Offsite replica (data copyed to a different site)

MariaDB-Galera cluster is running with standard Bitnami configuration. That can be found here

Kithosting offers the following standard tiers

1. Small: 10 gb
2. Medium: 20 gb
3. Large: 40 gb

If you larger databases please contact Kithosting.

1. Write a mail kithosting@kvalitetsit.dk for a pricing and tier.
2. When order is accepted databasename, username and password is returned from Kithosting. The database is only accessible from Kithosting.
3. Database information can placed in a sealed secret, that can be configured in a helm chart. See sealed secrets.
