Prerequisites

Before you get started there are some prerequisites. You should have
- Tenant at KitHosting. You can request a new tenant by sending a mail to kithosting@kvalitetsit.dk. When a tenant is created you will receive:
- Login to the KitHosting deployment UI.
- Login to the KitHosting monitoring UI.
- A public available git-registry where you can create and store a gitrepository (fx GitHub, BitBucket etc). All deployment specification of the application will be located here.
The best-practice for deploying containers on Kubernetes is by using gitobs. Gitops places the configuration of the system deployment in git like application code, so all changes to the deployment configuration is under source control. This means that changes to the deployments are visible to those who have access to you deployment repository.
The git repository will be the “source of thruth” for the application deployment. A deployment agent inside the cluster will synchronize (automatically or manually) between git (wanted state) and Kubernetes (actual state).

This means all changes to deployments will be visible in git and standard git flow can used, for managing your deployment.
